Jumaah #7

Assalam alaikoum wa Rahmatullaah wa Barakaatuh,

Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Salam said: “I leave amongst you two things that if you follow or act upon, you will never go astray; The Book of Allah (i.e. Qur’an) and my Sunnah”

  1. wow, the poem is deep and very meaningful isn’t it. 🙂 Sum up, Al-Quran and sunnah rasulullah are the 2 tings that we should rely on. the way of life. 🙂

    • It is yes masha Allah.. but I really like what Sheikh Uthaymeen said about not attaching truth to the individual because the he/she might change. Instead, we should always refer to Qur’an and Sunnah for guidance.. Subhan Allah for his way of advising with such hikmah!

  2. Masha Allah! I love this little video! Such a wise lesson for all of us!

So far from what I’ve read about the three great contemporary scholars, Albani, Uthaymeen and Baz, they were very very careful about fitnah and always afraid that people might go overboard in their devotion to them!

You can distinguish the true scholars that Allah subhanahu wa ta’aala raises from the Ummah from the others when you see how they react to worldly praise and benefits! In their words, actions and deeds, we see that they do all that they do solely to seek the pleasure of Allah subhanahu wa ta’aala and no one else. Allah knows best!

It’s really sad how some Imams and knowledgeable people act nowadays, isn’t it? It’s their way or the high way, but how can they say that when it’s the Quran and Sunnah that’s our guide and compass?

    • Masha Allah, I didn’t know that about them! Amazing masha Allah! I guess it’s true – when your eemaan is strong, you become less attached to this Dunya (i.e. fame). I remember reading somewhere by this sheikh that when he met one of these contemporary scholars, it reminded him stories of the behaviour of Salafs. Subhan Allah.. can you imagine meeting someone like that? (I’ll have to dig up and show you someday insha Allah!)

It is a lesson for us as well on how we advice others. Look at how gentle he was in advising without embarrassing the boy at the same time! Such hikmah subhan Allah! These so-called people as you mentioned can learn adab from such scholars!
